Pick Me! Pick Me!

25 Sep

Subtle, huh? So, I entered a contest.

I know, I know.

Last year I wrote my first paranormal romance called Reap ‘Em & Weep. If you have no earthly idea what paranormal romance is, all you need to know is this: monsters in love.

My monsters are reapers. The grim kind.

I wrote it with Harlequin Nocturne in mind which is the paranormal romance imprint of Harlequin. As it happens, they have a contest called So You Think You Can Write each year and authors from all over the US and Canada can enter the first 5,000 words (first chapters) of their manuscripts.

The cool part is the PUBLIC VOTES on the top twenty-five submissions, then the Harlequin editors request full manuscripts and choose a winner. The winner receives a publishing contract. Now, while I’m not cocky enough to expect to win…I would like to make that top twenty-five.

If you would like to help me get there, you can help two ways. First you can read my first 5,000 word submission here at Reap ‘Em & Weep and click the LIKE button at the top by the TWEET. You can Tweet and share on Facebook as well if you are so inclined. The more support the merrier. But if you are only going to do ONE THING. I’d like you to VOTE.

VOTING starts next Tuesday, Oct. 2. I’ll send links and instructions then, but if you would like to get a head start and read my entry before then, please do.

Paranormal romance is not for everyone. I understand 🙂

Your vote could make a huge difference.
Thanks so much!
